Minnesota MILE is a non-profit organization made possible by generous financial donations. All funds for the program are donated by service organizations, private donors and corporations. Students and schools are not charged a fee to attend the seminar. Both large and small, donations are the life blood of Minnesota MILE. We offer several ways to donate that we hope you will consider to help support youth throughout Minnesota.

Student Sponsorship- $200.00
Send a student to MILE! The most important impact of the MILE seminar is the positive influence it has on the lives of individual participants. The Student Sponsorship is the cost forone student to have the MILE experience. Sponsorships can either be applied where needed or earmarked for a specific school’s participant. This sponsorship is popular among community organizations that wish to sponsor students from one or more local high schools. After the seminar, we will be glad to put you in touch with your student to come speak at an upcoming event about their experience.

Minnesota MILE also seeks Gifts-In-Kind to defray the cost of our annual seminars. Needed gifts include supplies (binders, paper, pens), delegate items (t-shirts, name tags, awards), food (soda, juice, bottled water, meals, snacks) and miscellaneous items (buses, disposable cameras, film development, etc.). All in-kind donations to MILE are tax-deductible 501(c)(3).

T-shirt Sponsorship—$750
Sponsor the shirts on our backs! For students, seminar t-shirts serve as a memento of a life-changing and unforgettable seminar experience. A T-shirt Sponsorship is applied towards the cost of supplying these seminar t-shirts. This sponsor will have the opportunity to place its logo on the back of the seminar t-shirt.

Binder Sponsorship—$600
Provide the materials that help our leaders go out and ACT! This sponsorship helps cover the printing and binding of the workbook that students use during the seminar. It contains all the information and interactive activities they will work on and reference later in life.

Meal Sponsorship—$1500
This sponsorship will pay for one meal for the attendees and staff to help us keep their stomachs and minds well nourished!

Seminar Planning Committee – The Seminar Planning Committee works throughout the year to plan the activities for each seminar, manage the student selection process and get enough volunteers to make a great seminar happen each year. There are many opportunities out there with time commitments ranging from 2-3 months to year-round.

Corporate Board – The Corporate Board performs the fundraising and drives the direction of the MILE organization throughout the year. These roles are the best fit of those who want to help drive the strategic direction of the organization and aren’t afraid to ask for money to help us keep our seminar FREE to all students and schools.

Facilitator –Facilitators lead small groups through each activity of the seminar and are an integral part of the MILE experience. Each facilitator is supported by seminar assistants, who are MILE Alumni who come back to help with the small groups. MILE provides comprehensive training prior to the seminar. Facilitators must be age 21 or older.
Seminar Assistant- This position is for MILE Alumni who would like to be paired with a facilitator to support a small group, or help with behind-the-scenes work. MILE provides comprehensive training prior to the seminar.

Support Staff – If you can only come for a short time or have a different skill set, we always need volunteers throughout the weekend to help out with behind-the-scenes operations.
